Someone I Once Knew is about the strange intimacy of meeting someone who once knew everything about you and discovering that time has quietly turned them into a stranger.

Two voices remember the same relationship from different sides. A familiar face, an old record, an unfinished sentence—small details briefly collapse the years between them, yet neither can completely return to the people they once were. Their memories overlap, contradict and occasionally meet, revealing how two people can share the same past without remembering the same story.

Driven by a restless post-punk rhythm, melancholic bass and guitars that gradually dissolve into shoegaze haze, the song places emotional restraint against constant physical movement. The male and female voices rarely settle into perfect harmony; instead, they approach, answer and drift away from one another, mirroring the distance that has grown between them.

As part of Lost Transmissions, Someone I Once Knew is another message arriving years too late—a conversation between memory and reality, and the quiet realization that sometimes we don't lose people completely.
