Dark Matter is one of the first tracks to reveal the darker and more fragmented direction of the upcoming post-punk'er album, Forbidden Songs.
Influenced by the experimental edge of early post-punk and gothic rock, the track abandons conventional songwriting in favour of repetition, tension and atmosphere. The result is a cold, rhythmic and unsettling piece that feels closer to the underground recordings of the early 1980s than to modern darkwave production.
Dark Matter represents a return to a more direct approach: fewer layers, fewer distractions and a stronger focus on rhythm, mood and imperfection. It is a song built not around answers, but around the spaces where answers never arrive.
