From the recording Undesirable ( maxi single)
Undesirable continues the darker and more confrontational direction of post-punk’er’s recent material, transforming alienation into something physical, rhythmic and strangely triumphant. Released as a standalone maxi single, the track abandons nostalgic romanticism in favor of fractured identity, social decay and personal defiance, delivered through obsessive basslines, tribal live drums and raw theatrical vocals that feel suspended somewhere between ritual and collapse.
Musically, the single draws heavily from the colder and more aggressive side of early 80s gothic post-punk and darkwave, combining hypnotic floor-tom driven rhythms, angular low-gain guitars and atonal textures with a deliberately unpolished analog production aesthetic.
Lyrics
(different lyrics than original)
Blue morning stained the kitchen tiles
While hidden circuits cried beneath
Dead flowers curled beside the sink
In frozen shades of yellow heat
The chandelier shook over us
Throwing fractures on the wall
You whispered “undesirable”
Without looking up at all
Your shadow crossed the television snow
Cold silver rings turned black
The room leaned inward when you laughed
Somewhere below us
Iron screamed through concrete cracks
The freezer sang in broken tones
All through the collapsing light
Thin curtains moved against the glass
As cables swayed outside
Lipstick fading on the filter
Smoke dissolving through your hair
A cracked mirror split your face
Into separate vacant stares
White powder drifted from the ceiling
Onto folded evening clothes
A radio drowned inside static
In a language no one knows
You pressed your forehead to the window
As midnight gathered in the glass
And somewhere underneath the building
Machines continued turning slow
Rust-colored water filled the bathtub
Though nobody touched the taps
The apartment held its breath completely
As trains shook dust from hidden cracks
Blue reflections crossed your mouth
Like rivers under frozen light
Then silence spread across the room
And swallowed half the night
The chandelier continued trembling
Long after we stopped moving
Morning crawled across the floorboards
In pale electrical blue
Your voice remained beside the cassette reels
Low and almost inaudible
Repeating only once
Undesirable
